Ontario Tech University is excited to invite startups in your network to apply for the Brilliant Ventures Mobility Accelerator, a 6-week hybrid program (October 21 – November 27, 2025) designed to support early-stage companies driving innovation in transportation, logistics, and urban mobility.

About Brilliant Ventures

Brilliant Ventures (BV), facilitated by Brilliant Catalyst, is Ontario Tech University’s startup investment fund rooted in the ideals of “tech with a conscience”. This initiative not only offers financial support but also grants start-ups access to the vast resources and expertise that the university ecosystem possesses. Brilliant Ventures invests in Canadian startups and SMEs that are committed to supporting job creation, ethical technology application, fostering Canadian innovation, and engaging with Ontario Tech’s campus community. 

Program Objectives

The Accelerator equips founders with the tools to validate pilots, secure partnerships, and prepare for investment. Brilliant Ventures is also actively seeking to invest $300,000 in accelerator companies over the next 4 years. 

Eligibility: 

• Startups working in or adjacent to the mobility sector (EV, logistics, transportation, urban tech, smart cities, connected vehicles).
• Must have at least one full-time founder.
• Must have a minimum viable product and evidence of validation. 
• Seeking pre-seed companies primarily, but all interested startups are encouraged to apply. 

Program Highlights

• Format & Timeline: Hybrid delivery with in-person kickoff (Oct 21) and Demo Day (Nov 27). Application deadline is October 16, 2025.
• Curriculum: Customer discovery, product-market fit, go-to-market strategy, business model design, pitch development, and fundraising readiness.
• Mentorship: One-on-one access to mobility operators, engineers, policymakers, business coaches, and investors.
• Funding & Investment: Opportunities for non-dilutive grants, equity investment, and investor introductions.
• Ecosystem Access: Connections with corporate, government, and venture partners.
• Testing and Demonstration:  Gain access to world-class testing facilities and opportunities to participate in municipal demonstration zones.
