Join Futurpreneur for Ohpikiwin: Journey to Financial Empowerment, a free 2-hour interactive workshop designed for young Indigenous entrepreneurs who want to feel more confident navigating personal finance and business readiness.

“Ohpikiwin” means growth in Cree. This session brings together key teachings from the Ohpikiwin series into one practical workshop focused on financial resilience, credit understanding, budgeting, savings, debt decisions, and preparing for the next step in your entrepreneurial journey.

Together, we’ll explore financial empowerment through an Indigenous lens, connecting practical tools with values such as community care, honesty, wisdom, courage, kinship, sustainability, and future generations.

This session is designed to be warm, accessible, and beginner-friendly. You do not need to have a completed business plan, perfect credit, or all your numbers figured out. Come as you are.

In This Workshop, You Will

• Reflect on your money story and the values guiding your business journey
• Build a quick personal money map covering income, expenses, savings, and tax readiness
• Learn what affects credit and how to identify your next credit-building step
• Explore debt repayment strategies and risky borrowing warning signs
• Practice a simple creditor conversation plan
• Strengthen your business readiness through customer, pricing, startup cost, and launch planning
• Leave with a practical 30-day financial growth plan

Workshop Format
This is an interactive online workshop. Participants will receive or use an editable workbook during the session.

Camera use is optional. Participation can happen through chat, reflection, discussion, or simply following along privately.
