Speaker Bio:

Janie Goldstein is an instructor at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and Special Advisor to the Family Business Institute at the Ted Rogers School of Management, which she co‑founded with the Academic Director. Together they revamped the family business course, now the focus of an ongoing pedagogy study.

Recognized in TMU’s Inspired Teaching digital showcase, she has presented at the 2021, 2023, and 2026 TMU Teaching and Learning Conferences. She has been interviewed on family business issues by outlets including the Globe and Mail and Canadian Family Offices.

Janie co‑founded and serves on the board of The Upside Foundation of Canada. She holds an Electrical Engineering degree from McGill and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
